3 events were just gone in the Philippines a couple days ago. As usual, SOUTH has been keeping its focus on this market by participating in all such occasions.

The first one was the GEP-NCR (Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines Inc., National Capital Region) 24th Annual Regional Convention & 1st Trade Fair, held in Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City, Manila, during May 22 to 24. As one of the most popular brands there, SOUTH was invited to be part of this function and deliver a speech entitled SOUTH GNSS WORLD on behalf of the key manufacturer source. "With the mutual efforts from both the local distributor and our side, SOUTH is being well developed here, yet I am sure there's still a long way to go ahead. Let's look forward to more good news…" remarked Mr. Han Yao, General Manager of International Business Division in SOUTH Group, who attended the meeting also.

And then one week later, the GEP (Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines) 38th Annual National Directorate Meeting & Convention came next. And the venue was moved to Hotel Legend Palawan in Puerto Princesa, where its natural heritage, Underground River, has topped the latest poll of the New 7 Wonders of the World Campaign. During June 1 to 3, more than 1,000 licensed geodetic engineers grouped there for this carnival in geodesy industry. And as the regular part of the convention, SOUTH was invited to make a product presentation like before. In continuation with the previous 2 speeches (A Story of Total Station in 2010, and A Story of GPS in 2011), the SOUTH representative came with another interesting topic, RTK Your Mind (A Story of RTK), which enabled the audience to better understand the current hot sale product RTK worldwide, especially the differences in use of Total Station and RTK as well as other related commercial knowledge. The educational and informative speech was a great success, as it provided exactly the necessary information that surveyors demanded. And that was what the speaker intended to do, to keep them RTK-minded and furthermore, to read the mind of end users as the hidden meaning of the topic.

Almost at the same time, the local SOUTH distributor exhibited in another exposition in the same city. 5C, known as a trade fair specializing in construction and related 5 industries, was held in City Coliseum during June 1 to 4. Apart from the geodesy applications, SOUTH finds the way to meet the needs of civil engineering as well.
