It is clear that SOUTH will make a positive influence in its local market, when INTERGEO East 2010 opens its doors in Istanbul from the 19th to the 21st of May.

This was the first time and its intention for the 6th annual Intergeo East conference to bring companies with related industries together. They consists of; land management, GIS, the construction industry and the environmental had been held in the Turkish metropolis, which is the only city in the world that over laps two continents.

- This was the first time that the two-day trade fair and three-day conference for SOUTH’S Turkish distributor DOGA Electronik Ltd. Sti took part in this monumental fair on behalf of SOUTH. SOUTH sent a representative in order to join DOGA and its team for a direct assistance towards a common goal.

Besides many students, sub-dealer of SOUTH and surveyors from both Asia and Europe; countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Bulgaria have all came to SOUTH’s booth and showed great interest in SOUTH’s products.


Nevertheless, the 6th INTERGEO East Conference had not met all the expectations, said Freier, CEO of HINTE GmbH, whom was responsible for organizing the event. Visitor numbers decreased to reach its original target. Reason being that it may be because of the national holiday on Wednesday the 19th which was right on the start date of the event. However, speculations predict that in the next few years are set to see an increase in market demand; due to numerous infrastructure-related measures and developments in the region; SOUTH is very much prepared when the time comes.
