Recently, edited by Xu Deming, the Deputy Minister of Land and Resources, Director of the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, the first Blue Book of China's surveying and mapping Report on Development of China's surveying and mapping aimed to study Chinese surveying and mapping is published by the Social Science Literature Publishing House.

The "Report" is divided into six chapters, they are Comprehensive Chapter, Management Chapter, Information Chapter, Technology and Equipment Chapter, GIS Chapter. It summarized the achievements and shortcomings of the China's surveying and mapping work since the founding of PRC. Meanwhile, it analyzed the current situation which surveying business is facing, as well as latest trend, hot spots and focus. It also put forward some ideas on the development of mapping policy, measures, and proposals.

All the articles in "Repor" are from the principal leaders in China's surveying industry, senior academicians and experts. SOUTH is the only surveying equipment company selected into the 'technology and equipment Chapter'. The selected article is written by the company's deputy general manger Mr. Yang Zhenpeng, named 'Road of China's Surveying Equipment Manufacturer-to explore ways to create international brands'.

In his article, Mr. Yang made an insightful and comprehensive analysis and discussion on the 'Surveying instrument and pattern of global demand', 'a major breakthrough has been made in the localization', and 'Out for world, back to localization strategy', 'future development', all of which are closely connected with his company's practical experience.
