The use of the Global Positioning System (GPS) for surveying and mapping has been steadily increasing since its introduction in 1980s and in recent years the market for a variety of GPS models has exploded than ever. As the key product in the surveying field, RTK receiver has got greatly advanced and further developed.
SOUTH is more than happy to announce its latest release of 3rd generation RTK product, S760. With high-end dual-frequency mainboard and antenna, S760 enjoys a high speed and great effectiveness of GPS & GLONASS&COMPASS satellites tracking, which is of no difference with earlier RTK models, yet this handy unit extremely highlights convenience and flexibility in practice. A single rugged unit, independent to any external device, has integrated antenna, mainboard and PDA all together, which is an ideal high precision handheld GIS data collector in urban and rural areas.
As the 3rd generation RTK receiver, when S760 connects an external dual-frequency GPS+GLONASS or GPS+COMPASS antenna via carbon fiber pole plus bracket holder, it can offer RTK solutions of centimeter level accuracy. Besides RTK receiver functionality, S760 can serve as a field controller as well. The built-in dual-frequency GPS+GLONASS or GPS+COMPASS antenna helps the end users to obtain realtime handheld positioning accuracy of below 30cm.
P.S. key features of 3 generations of RTK receivers
