Recently, a delegation of 12 members from Tajikistan visited Tianjin Urban Construction Management Vocational Technology College for nearly a month of faculty exchange training. This marked the first time that teachers and students from the Tajikistan Luban Workshop visited Tianjin for exchange training.

SOUTH Surveying & Mapping was invited to participate in the 2024 faculty training for the Tajikistan Luban Workshop. The Metaverse Intelligent Training System, as an extension of SOUTH VR teaching products, played a crucial role in this training.

Previously, SOUTH training software had been proficiently used by Tajikistani teachers in their daily teaching. This innovative teaching method helps to improve teaching quality, expand students' practical abilities, and cultivate innovative thinking. By using VR technology, surveying education becomes more vivid, interesting, and practical, which helps to stimulate students' interest and potential in learning.

The Metaverse Intelligent Training System further enhances teaching interactivity based on VR teaching technology. It garnered significant attention from the Tajikistani teachers and students during the faculty training. The training content was divided into four modules: Metaverse Intelligent Surveying Training, Metaverse Drone Surveying Training, Metaverse LiDAR Surveying Training, and Metaverse Intelligent Monitoring Training. During the hands-on sessions, teachers and students experienced immersive learning through the integration of virtual and real environments, deeply appreciating the immense potential and application value of Metaverse technology in education. Tajikistani teachers even described the technology as "so cool!"

The Luban Workshop spanning thousands of miles has closely connected the "masters and apprentices" of China and Tajikistan. Since its inception, the Tajikistan Luban Workshop has provided learning and training opportunities for over 1,500 undergraduate and graduate students, playing a vital role in the development of surveying education in Tajikistan. It has also injected new vitality into the educational cooperation and exchanges between China and Tajikistan.

Luban Workshops are an integral part of China's cultural and educational outreach to the world, showcasing excellent vocational skills and culture internationally. They are a key response to the localization demands of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative and address the shortage of local technical talents. As one of the participating units in the Tajikistan Luban Workshop, SOUTH will focus on the evolving needs of surveying development and education, assisting Tianjin Urban Construction Management Vocational Technology College in improving teaching quality and achieving talent cultivation goals for the Tajikistan Luban Workshop.

Currently, SOUTH Metaverse Technology Campus Tour is in full swing across the country. In the future, SOUTH will further engage in school-enterprise cooperation, explore new models of talent cultivation with universities, continuously innovate surveying education technology, and improve the quality of talent training. They also hope to use this faculty training as an opportunity to promote Chinese surveying technology globally, contributing to international vocational education cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
