SERVICE TRAINING: EMPOWERING DISTRIBUTORS TO ENHANCE SERVICE SKILLS

Though new measurement equipment is blooming rapidly in current time, optic-electric measurement instruments continue to play an essential role. The stable operation of the optic-electric instruments is vital for enhancing measurement efficiency. As China's largest manufacturer of optic-electric surveying instruments, South Surveying and Mapping has always placed a strong emphasis on improving the service capabilities of its distributors.The company is also committed to elevating the after-sales service level of its distributors to ensure that end-users receive efficient and professional technical support. To further enhance the maintenance skills of its distributors, SOUTH conducted a training course on instrument maintenance at its headquarters in Guangzhou from February 17 to March 5, 2025. The event attracted active participation from numerous distributors in Africa, South Asia and Middle East.

Careful Preparation to Create a Professional Training Program


The content of this training course was meticulously designed by the company's technical team, covering a comprehensive range of topics from basic theoretical knowledge to practical operational skills. The training team consisted of experienced technical experts from within the company, who not only possessed profound professional knowledge but also had extensive experience in on-site repairs. The course included analysis of common instrument faults, proper use of repair tools, the importance of preventive maintenance, and quick response methods for emergency faults, aiming to help distributor clients fully grasp the key skills of instrument repair.

Hands-on Practice to Strengthen Skill Improvement


Theoretical learning is the foundation, while hands-on practice is the key to testing learning outcomes. The training course specifically allocated ample time for participants to engage in practical exercises. In the professional repair laboratory provided by the company, participants, under the guidance of technical experts, personally disassembled, inspected, and repaired various instruments. Through hands-on practice, participants were able to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application and promptly correct mistakes under the experts' on-site feedback, accumulating valuable experience. This "theory + practice" training model effectively enhanced the learning outcomes and confidence of the participants, laying a solid foundation for their future independent repair work.

The training course was not only a platform for technical instruction but also an excellent opportunity for distributor clients to interact and share experiences. After several days of intensive and fulfilling training, participants expressed that they had gained a great deal. One dealer from Tanzania said, "The training content was very practical. I will apply what I've learned to my work and provide our customers with higher quality and more efficient services after return." Ms. Jennifer Hu, Deputy GM of International Business Department, also expressed satisfaction with the successful completion of the training course and emphasized.
