SINO-AFRICA ROUNDTABLE MEETING OF COOPERATION ON SURVEYING MAPPING AND GEO-INFORMATION HELD IN ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA

A high level Government and private Companies CEO’s delegation lead by Dr. Song Chaozhi and Dr. Wang Qian has held discussion with their Ethiopian counter parts in Addis Ababa, on the 19th of July 2015. More than 12 Chief Executive officers from companies in China and more than 8 Executive Officers from private companies in Ethiopian have attended the meeting.

A high level Government and private Companies CEO’s delegation lead by Dr. Song Chaozhi and Dr. Wang Qian has held discussion with their Ethiopian counter parts in Addis Ababa, on the 19th of July 2015. More than 12 Chief Executive officers from companies in China and more than 8 Executive Officers from private companies in Ethiopian have attended the meeting. 

The main point of discussion was to review the current level of cooperation between the two countries and to strengthen the future cooperation on the Surveying, Mapping and Geo-information technology between the two countries.

The delegate briefed how China developed through years and discussed a lot of issues regarding the laws, regulations and practices how the Surveying, mapping, and Geo-information reached the current level of development. In addition the Chinese companies were also able to discuss about their products and services to the audience and how they are reaching to other parts of the world.  In doing so they received an appreciation and promises for the future cooperation between companies of the two countries. 

The delegation was also able to visit the Ethiopian Mapping Agency’s different facilities and Museums and was very impressed by the vast experiences EMA has acquired during the last many years and its current level of excellence.

As one of the attendants of the meeting and represented by its deputy CEO, Mr. Miao, SOUTH has shown to the audience its greatness and its presence in Ethiopian as well as all over many countries in the world. The products and its services were excellently presented and acquired an excitement among Ethiopian Higher Government Officials. 

SOUTH was also able to draw the attention of the participants by donating one of its state of the art GNSS Surveying Equipmet to the “Ethiopian Mapping Agency” and showed its commitment in strengthening the cooperation between SOUTH and its Ethiopian consumers.  Among the Chinese delegates it was SOUTH with previous experience in doing business with Ethiopians.  It is then possible to declare that, SOUTH has been the best representative in the Cooperation meeting.
