SOUTH SURVEYING & MAPPING INSTRUMENT CO., LTD.

Two weeks ago, the delegation from China NASG (National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation), headed by Mr. Xu Deming, Director General of NASG, paid official visits to NAMRIA (National Mapping and Resources Information Authority) Philippines and BAKOSURTANAL (National Coordinating Agency For Surveys and Mapping) Indonesia respectively. Apart from the official bilateral talks between government sectors, the business dialogue for enterprises was included to boost the communication and cooperation for the entrepreneurs of China and the 2 countries. As the flagship enterprise in China geomatics industry, SOUTH was honorably part of this event, represented by Mr. Yang Zhenpeng, Vice Presidnet in Chief, and Mr. Jackie Cheung, Sales Manager of Asia & Europe Regions. Other 5 participants from China were Wuda Geoinformatics, Eastdawn, Kanq Digital, CHC and China TopRS.

On the morning of Sept 21, the China-Philippines Business Dialogue on Geomatics Industry was held in Edsa Shangri-la Hotel, Manila. Dr. Peter N. Tiangco, Administrator of NAMRIA, and Mr. Xu Deming, Director General of NASG gave remarks at the meeting respectively. SOUTH was the first to deliver a speech in the particularly highlighted presentation session of Chinese enterprises. Starting with the past stories about SOUTH and NAMRIA as well as other organizations like GEP, etc., Mr. Jackie Cheung made a successful speech entitled To Be Better Connected and well presented vivid pictures of the renowned brand in the local market, SOUTH. For more care and support to the Philippines, SOUTH donated 2 units of Windows Total Station (NTS-962R and NTS-372R one each) to NAMRIA and extended the long-term cooperation agreement with Surveytech Trading Co, the local exclusive distributor.

Just one day later, on the afternoon of Sept 22, the China-Indonesia Business Dialogue on Geomatics Industry was held in Marriot Hotel, Jakarta. Dr. Asep Karsidi, Head of Bakosurtanal and Mr. Xu Deming both commented in the event. Again, VCR clips, earlier pictures and PPT slides helped Mr. Jackie Cheung to perfectly present what SOUTH is like, what SOUTH dealt with the Indonesian government sectors and how SOUTH promoted the new brand and products there. Also, 2 units of Total Station were formally donated to Bakosurtanol. And then, SOUTH and Geoprima Solusi, the local exclusive distributor, signed the agreement for extensive cooperation.

The activity came up to a close with successful results, but it's just another new start for SOUTH. With the great support and assistance from the China government, the Chinese manufacturers shall undertake a grand mission of further enhancing the Made-in-China label and image by improving quality, technologies and services. And for sure, SOUTH is committed to this goal and working hard on it all the time. The links between foreign governments and SOUTH are expected to be better connected, yet more thrilling news and lovely stories are to be continued.
