Once again, SOUTH continues its overseas stories to witness the ambition and progress of their dynamic team.

The Geoinfotech2010 exhibition organized by GISTDA just ended last week in Bangkok, Thailand, during Dec 15 to 17. Plus the experience from last year, the local SOUTH distributor, KIJWISAI, showed their great wisdom and full efforts to bring out an attractive display of SOUTH products, including RTK receivers, high-precision handheld GPS, full range of total station, electronic theodolite and crossline laser level. The perfect design of the booth and complete product range nicely outstood this Chinese flagship brand, SOUTH.

After the show, the SOUTH representatives were invited to a local school, Surin Technical College, for a presentation on Dec 20. Nearly 100 surveying related majors and teachers, in the fields of geodesy, civil engineering, construction and architecture, attended the event and enjoyed the speech by guests speaker from China. The talk focused on the background information of surveying equipments and modern instrument applications. It was a big moment for the students to update and refresh their knowledge of their future tool kits, surveying equipments, to find out how surveying instruments were developed, what’s new from the world market, what’s the difference between old instruments and modern instruments, and how GPS came up to us. The speakers further introduced some application examples with surveying instruments based on the infrastructure development projects by the State Railway of Thailand, and then demonstrated the reflectorless function of total station NTS-362R as well as the easy-to-use data transfer capabilities.

The motor was got started last year and it’s running well now. What’s more, the story is to be continued as the driver and the passenger are both very good story makers and tellers.
