SOUTH CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) product and Network CORS software NRS were satisfactorily approved by National Coordination Agency of Surveying and Mapping of Indonesia days ago and would be promisingly the first successful example of SOUTH Network CORS abroad.
After the successful trial of Network RTK by Lands Survey Department, the responsible sector for surveying in Hong Kong government, SOUTH march forward for another new and key product from the GNSS line towards global market. In late April, foreign sales and technical guys were sent from HQ to Indonesia and committed to the full support and assistance to the local dealer for a big tender issued by the local government.
The local dealer, Geoprima Solusi, established one Single-Base on the roof of their office building. With the guidance and support from SOUTH, they managed to connect SOUTH Single-Base with several existing CORS stations of another world famous brand and all ran well in the SOUTH Network CORS software----NRS (Net Reference Stations) to form triangle network. On April 28th morning, the SOUTH representatives enjoyed the opportunity of promoting the Network CORS to some key officials and technical staff team in Bakosurtanol (National Coordination Agency of Surveying and Mapping) and delivered to them the current situation of SOUTH CORS in China market. Also, emphasis on the distinct advantages like high compatibility and usability was included to the hot discussion. In the afternoon of the same day, they demonstrated the Network RTK products to run with NRS software and got correct fixed solutions easily. The entire demo could be described as a howling success for the first time abroad regarding CORS.
As SOUTH Network CORS is booming now in China market, it's undoubtedly another great incentive force for the global sales development and a completely new but meaningful try for SOUTH. Later on the Indonesian dealer would continue their steps to provide CORS solutions to other government sectors, and likewise SOUTH would never make a pause in the long march to offer more and more high-cost-performance products worldwide, like CORS, aiming at bigger share of GNSS products in global market.
