The old one NB-25 is Ni-MH battery with 2700mAh capacity.
The new one LB-01 is Li-battery with higher capacity(3100mAh) which supports much longer operating time(more than 10h).
Li battery has the good features of small size, higher power density, no memory effect, long cycle life, high voltage, low self-discharge and environmental friendliness.
