SOUTH total station NTS-960 series， with the WINDOWS-CE. 1. WINDOWS-CE 4.2 Operation System. Compare to the old DOS system, WIN-CE system is much more convenient for people to use. With Larger-touch screen, people can select all the command with a stylus-pen, with a larger/ wider screen, it allows the user to retrieve more information at a faster pace with convenience than ever before. 
2. Reflector-Less EDM. With the newest EDM technology, NTS-960 series total station can measure distance without prism of up to 300 meters. It will save you the hassle of setting up prisms. This feature enables the users to shoot distance where it is hard to set up a prism as well; locations such as the corner of a house, electronic wire, edge of a building and other locations/ objects that are unconventional.
3. Dual Axis Compensator. NTS-960 use the newest Dual Axis Compensator to make the measurements more accurate and the instrument more stable.
4. Absolute Encoding technology. It can save the angle reading even if the instrument is turned off. 
5. USB Port. With this feature and being as the standard comport for computers, people can now easily connect the total station with a computer and transfer their works.
6. On-Board programs. NTS-960 total station has many ON-Board programs:
a. Mapping Genius. Mapping Genius is an integrated software for field data collection and mapping. With the advantages of laptop, data collector, PDA, it enable the user to collect coordinates in step with collection diagrams, attributes, get final map in field by using SCB technology. It realizes the integration of indoor and outdoor jobs.
b. Engineering Genius. Engineering Genius is specially designed for construction measurement jobs. It brings user data collection/calculation and mapping programs which can be applied in various works like staking-out, curve measurement, section measurement, fill/cut calculation, coordinate conversation, lead line measurement, and level section measurement.
