From October 17 to 19, 2021, the Academic Annual meeting of Chinese Society of Surveying and Mapping (2021) was held in Qingdao, and the China Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information Technology Equipment Expo was also held at the same time.

At this expo, SOUTH (Booth S3-T7) core equipment such as terrestrial 3D laser scanning system and airborne 3D laser scanning system made their debut, attracting extensive attention from the visitors. Measurement robot, Smart total station, BDS high-precision application terminal, aerial survey UAV, natural resources information solution, virtual simulation teaching, 1+X certificate construction scheme were also presented.

In order to let visitors truly experience the convenience brought by the new technology, SOUTH had set up a product experience area, and some products simulated and restored the application scenarios.

On the afternoon of October 18, the annual conference held a science and technology and industry salon.  Ma Chao, General Manager of SOUTH, was invited to make a report on the theme of " Challenges faced by the development of surveying and mapping equipment in China.”
