From Mar 17th to 21th, SOUTH welcomed three guests from Chile, they are SOUTH dealer Mr. Eduardo Daniels from NEOTOP company and his sub-dealer Mr. Nero Fuentes and Ms. Valentina Fuentes from AGUATOP company.
It was the second time we met this year after South representative visited them in January to establish the first SOUTH Cors station. The purpose of their visit this time is to take further training for CORS and other products, as well as develop deeper communication and cooperation with SOUTH.
On the first day, Mr Eduardo Daniels had a business talk with Mr Han Yao, General Manager of International Business Division, sharing the Chilian market information, improvement and competition. Mr Han agreed that we would give the biggest support in various aspects like quality control, special price for key accounts, technical assistance…etc.
In the next few days, the training of South Cors Station S8+, Handheld RTK S760, Echo Sounder SDE28S, Repair of total station, theodolite and RTK were held one by one. The dealers learnt very carefully by taking videos for every operation and speech.
As a start, SOUTH GPS engineer Nathan gave them a review of the configurations of SOUTH CORS. Then Nathan introduced the main functions of South handheld RTK S760, the onboard GIStar software and how to connect it with CORS, including the one in our office and the one already set up in Chile.
After that, as requested by the dealers, Nathan gave a vivid speech on the evolution of the surveying by comparing working procedures of different surveying methods: total station, static GPS, RTK and CORS. Through the comparison the advantage of SOUTH CORS was showed obviously. This speech won warm applause from the dealers and they were going to show this video to their clients later.
The repair training of total Station, theodolite and RTK focused on some troubleshooting, as the dealers already had a lot of experience with repairs. Tips and notices were taught to them by SOUTH engineers.
Last, a brief presentation on South Echo Sounder SDE-28S was made to the dealers to let them know more about this product and approach the possible business opportunities.
All the trainings were scheduled tightly and ended with success. "It was a very satisfactory visit, more than our expectation". said Mr Eduardo Daniels, "I have a dream that South CORS will spring up in Chile, which will greatly increase the sales of RTK and GIS data collector".
